New Years Eve, eve

New Years Eve, eve......I've never been a a fan of New Year. Too many part time drinkers not enough bar staff - the eternal conundrum. These people should stay in. Jools Holland's on, that's always good. I'll watch it on Replay...hungover.

(As a quick aside, why isn't Heroes on Replay and only on iplayer? That's very poor)

Today in the office isn't any better. I'm toying with the idea of going to Primark at lunchtime. This is dangerous for reasons which are two-fold. I don't like shuffling old people and I'm prone to panic attacks. Primark is the twitchy finger on my trigger.
I need some shoes though, flat ones. I bought some heels which is unusual for me. Having sworn to "never wear them again" it would be remiss of me to break such a promise to myself. Anyway, i'll probably end up walking home and the "Winehouse" look is not hot. Torn tights and carrying your shoes is best left to the professionals, if you see what I mean.

They've just played Gas Light Anthem on XFM. My housemates rave about this band. Im not seeing the appeal on this example. Sounds like Scouting for girls if they listened to a lot of the Boss. They might do...I don't know, but if they did they'd sound like Gas Light Anthem. In my opinion.

This afternoon before my early exit I'm going to learn how to balloon model thanks to a secret santa present from the pound shop and make a plastic version of a pandora bracelet with prizes from Christmas crackers as charms.
I hate Pandora Bracelets. What's the crack there? They are the Pokemon of jewellery. And they make you look like a gypsy and not in a double denim chic way like Kevin Rowland from Dexy's, more like a magpie that went nuts in H Samuel. I won't be getting one.

Onwards to Primark!

Knit Knacks

I've recently started knitting. I don't know why but one day a couple of months ago I thought it might be a good idea.
My problem is that as soon as I get an idea in my head I get a bit obsessed and have knitted quite a few things in this short time.
So, i'll put some pictures on here of things I've made of wool so I can look at them from time to time.
Once again I am bored.......

Do you remember the first time...?

Suffice to say I'm bored. Really bored.

It's News Years Eve, eve....eve 2008 and I'm at work with nothing to do. So, I've decided to start a blog.

Now I'm not arrogant enough to think anyone will have the slighest interest in what I write but, what with the boredom and all, I may as well use my spare time creatively.

I'm hoping by reading this back to myself I'll be horrified enough by the complete unevenfulness (is this a word?) of my daily life to do something about it. God, I'm dramatic. I apologise.

Christmas has been good on the whole and has passed without incident. Saying this I did recieve what has widely been comfirmed as the most chavvy present of all time (I won't share the joy on that one...I'm embarrassed) and my brother did buy my Mam teatowels. This was met with a face of pure hate. According to my Mam, "you don't buy women things for the kitchen for Christmas!". Unless, I'm guessing, it's a Foreman Grill or a gun rack.

I had the most awesome Christmas day with my friend the Sunday before. It was like having all the magic and excitment of being a kid mixed in with the ability to go to Tesco and buy a whole heap of booze. Bonus!!

I'd imagine I'll post on here quite a bit in the coming weeks as the boredom maintains.
